Our Philosophy

We believe education is about preparation for life beyond schooling and a working career. At FunLab, our hope is for children to thrive in their own ways, and through a lifelong journey of learning, discover and find joy in their individual aspirations in life.

We know that effective learning requires many ingredients. That's why we've carefully crafted not just our curriculum but also our playful and inspiring environment. The materials and resources at our centre are chosen to ignite curiosity and foster incidental learning in children, making education fun, memorable and effective.

We adopt a blended approach that combines the best elements of established pedagogies. Our curriculum features a thematic overview, and our teaching methodology is guided by our unique play-based approach inspired from Montessori and Reggio Emilia principles. We believe learning doesn’t stop in school, and that's why we also support parents in creating conducive and effective learning environments at home. (Check out ParentLab for a glimpse of what we offer!)

Constant two-way communication between teacher and child is encouraged at FunLab. Every child is respected as a unique individual with their own pace of learning, and we are dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of development at each stage. We believe that a strong foundation in knowledge, skills and dispositions is crucial for every child to succeed, and our three core pillars are focused on the development in these areas.

Our Three Core Pillars

Knowledge Discovery

We expose children to diverse subject areas to inspire curiosity and a lifelong passion for learning. Through deeper exploration, they strengthen their ability to concentrate, reason, and express themselves meaningfully.

Empowering Skills

We develop key cognitive, social, and emotional skills in our children that empowers them to learn confidently and interact meaningfully with the world around them. These competencies extend beyond academics to support lifelong success.

Positive Dispositions

We cultivate lasting values and positive habits in our children—planting seeds that grow into strong character, thoughtful choices, and a fulfilling path forward.
